The genre vulgarity post

Well, perhaps less vulgar and more Not Suitable For Work, depending on your tastes.

So, thusly forewarned, it's Hugo Award season again in the science fiction literary community. While cynicism and despair look to continue being over-represented among critically well-received works, there are some bright spots as well genuinely humorous choices among the nominees.

Bright spot: Writers of the Future winner and Utah author Eric J. Stone's excellent SF novelette, "That Leviathan, Whom Thou Hast Made" is on the ballot. So, go Eric! That and congratulations for having made it to the final round with a great piece of writing.

Humorous: The infamous and hilarious video "F*ck Me Ray Bradbury" is up for the Best Dramatic Presentation - Short in the Hugos. Realizing that every blogger and their mother has already posted it, here it is again, in all it's off-color glory.

Because nothing says "I love you internet," like flogging a dead meme.
